Fall 2008 Rush Announced!
Monday, September 22, 2008, 03:25 PM - Events
Phi Sigma Pi is an organization that cannot be expressed in mere words. Its coeducational structure combines the elements of an honor society, a service organization, and a social fraternity. This mixture of Scholarship, Leadership, and Fellowship establishes an organization that celebrates the diversity of each of its members. As an active campus organization at Eastern Michigan, Phi Sigma Pi offers an abundance of opportunities for its members. These range from service projects, academic programs, and leadership positions to social gatherings including formals, weekend trips, and movie nights. All events help to promote friendship, involvement, and a strong brotherhood. The Alpha Phi chapter is seeking new members like you who are friendly, well-rounded, and interested in keeping this organization a respected campus leader.

Please feel free to invite any friends who also meet the requirements-we would love to meet them too! Eligible students have at least one semester of college work completed and a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

The Newest edition of the Alumni Newsletter has been sent out on the alumni listserv, if you did not receive it, please notify me at mike48324@Yahoo.com, and/or the Alumni Advisor as soon as possible so you can get the information about the alumni scholarship, Formal, Founder's Day and more!!!

Also, new developments in Alumni Relations: We are updating our alumni records, and the Alpha Phi Alumni network has expanded from ONLY 28 people at the start of last year to over 100 Alumni members of our Chapter, including Charter members of our Chapter from 1992!!!
We hope to continue to expand and improve upon our Alumni relations and strengthen ties between the past, present, and future of Phi Sigma Pi, because we are all Brothers for life!

The Social/Alumni Chair, Tanisha Hall, has already received a massive amount of feedback from the alumni community regarding plans for Formal...and this year's Winter Formal could have one of the highest turnouts in recent years!!!

New Website
Tuesday, May 8, 2007, 02:26 PM - Announcements
After a couple weeks of working on the new site, I'm pleased to announce, for the most part, it's up and running. With a much improved interface and admin panel, I hope the Chapter will be able to utilize it more.

Cool Features:
- Vastly improved photo album
- Ability to play "Brothers Are We"
- Cleaned up Member Directory.
- Implemented simplePHP blog for content administration
- Integrated Google Calendar for calendar functions
- Moved to a new host
- Moved to a different registrar
- Implemented SPAM filters on mailing lists
- Many other service related items that most won't understand, but will notice the improved service

Overall, this has been a fun project. The site may be up and down over the next few days, but hopefully more so up then down! The new design will also enable the chapter to create new (and renew) connections with the alumni in new ways!
